KAREN EDDINGTON BIO:
Karen’s passion for self worth education can be traced back to high school and college where she felt intense pressure to be thin, perfect, and perform in order to be accepted. Karen used her experience to research over 500 high school students on eating disorders and body image as part of her college thesis and since then she has continually received requests to participate in self-worth related events and projects. She went on to coach high school cheerleading, leading her team to earn a feature spot on ESPN for focusing on leadership versus stereotypes, earning the American School Spirit Award.
In 2006 Karen was one (out only seven selected) of 147 applicants to receive a Zions Bank Smart Women Smart Money grant which launched the Cauliflower Retreat self-worth outreach programs. Karen has continued research including the Under Pressure Project where she discovered the top solution for teens to survive their pressure is to develop a support network, specifically at home. She has also continued interviewing women from all walks of life to better understand inadequacy and the continued pressures women face as adults.
Karen is the author of a series of books and workbooks including the widely used, Today, I Live... Other titles include, The Landmark List, 10 Statements You Should Never Think, and I Know Who I am: Understanding Vital Elements of Self-Worth. She has also taught Marketing and Entrepreneurship classes at Bridgerland Applied Technology College. Her most important role is that of wife and mother. She is married to licensed marriage and family therapist, Cory Eddington.

WORTH AND PURPOSE EDUCATION: THIS IS MY PASSION

"I love looking into your eyes and watching the transformation. The moment where you recognize you don't need a girlfriend to tell you how fabulous your outfit looks. The instant you understand you don't need your boss to tell you you're doing a great job. It is the moment where you know for your self that you have significant value, and for an instant, you feel how deep your potential is. We need to remember how much our talents are needed. And, hopefully, we can find ourselves belly laughing in the process..."
